Originally from Jamaica, I moved to Steamboat in 2000 to work as a cook at the ski resort for the winter season. I fell in love with Steamboat and moved back in 2008 after a brief stint in Long Island, New York, and Petoskey, Michigan. I started with Mountain Resort in 2008 as a shuttle driver for The Ranch at Steamboat. With no front desk experience, I started helping out when the shuttle was slow and quickly caught on. I was then offered a job as a guest service agent, and from there I was promoted to guest service supervisor, manager, and then director of front office, where I oversaw the front desk, shuttle, and bell program. I graduated from Colorado Mountain College in 2013 with an associate degree in resort management. In February 2021, I became a U.S. citizen. Needing a career change to spend more time with my kids, I obtained my Colorado real estate license and am now an associate broker with M R Realty (a division of Resort Group). In my new role, I handle long-term rentals, employee housing, and get to sell the Steamboat dream. When I'm not working, I enjoy traveling, fishing, biking, softball, football, and spending time with my family. I'm lucky to call this place home. The Jamaican phase "mi lickkle but mi tallawah" means to be strong-willed, fearless, and not to be underestimated.
